Ethereal, Substantial & Gorgeous
Crochets well, very substantial with clear stitch definition. If you make a mistake, it is quite difficult to unravel. The colour of the champagne has a more pink tinge to it (think beige and pink, or I guess a crisp Rose!). The yarn is soft and feels good next to the skin. This was my first order from this company and I am hooked! Delivery was super quick and well packaged. Also when choosing yarn a handy side bar appears with items made from the same yarn. Colour will always be dependent on the monitor used, but the other item I purchased was 'true' to the monitor colour. I would recommend both this yarn and this company. (Posted on 16/09/2021)
Shimmering Soiree
Ordered a couple of colours on offer, used one as trim 'fins' on a seahorse, which might not have been what was the intended use, but the delicate lacy texture was very effective and just had to order more! Very flashy looking but doesn't lose quality for it. (Posted on 09/04/2021)
An excellent transaction, thanks
This review is obviously linked to my purchase this week of a batch of Sirdar Soirée Aran weight yarn in the Moonlight Silver shade which arrived promptly this morning. The yarn is beautiful and classy and soft to the touch and I'm looking forward to working with it. Delivery as indicated above was fast and the packaging used is 100% recyclable/ compostable, yet another plus point when you deal with the Knitting Network. The other plus points I've discovered in seven months or so that I've been buying my yarn from them, include the vast range of brands and types of yarn they stock, their easy-to-use website and the reliability of the yarn listed on there actually being in stock, their great special offers including their reasonable P&P charges and especially their UK Unlimited Delivery deal which means that for an upfront payment of £14.99, all your deliveries, whether large or small are entirely free for a year. Another very important plus point with the Knitting Network is that they ensure that all the balls of yarn you receive in each order come from the same dye lot. A failure to adhere to that practice, vital if you don't want your knitting to change colour halfway up your garment, brought about my leaving the knitting company with which I had been dealing for over ten years. My last purchase with my previous company of expensive pure Merino D.K. left me with ten balls of one dye lot and six of another and the two lots are visibly very different - a costly misfortune. I can vouch for the fact that all my orders to date with the Knitting Network have been 100% correct in terms of dye lots, and everything else to be fair. Thank you all of you there at the K.N.
