Find any chain space from the previous round.
Join your yarn with a slip stitch in the chain space.
Work four chains.
Now work two double trebles (dtr) in same chain space thus:
Wrap yarn twice round hook.
Now insert needle into chain space, wrap yarn round hook and bring through so you have four loops on your hook.
Yarn round hook and bring through two loops, leaving three loops remaining.
Yarn round hook again and draw through two loops. Only two hoops will remain.
Now complete the dtr by bringing the yarn through both loops.
Work a second dtr in the same chain space.
Then work one dtr in the next three trebles (tr) of the previous round.
Then it's three standard tr in the following stitches.
Half trebles (htr) will follow in the next 3 stitches.
Two double crochet stitches take you to just before the next chain space from the previous round.
Then work a dc in the chain space.
The next part is working the sequence of stitches you have just done in reverse so they mirror each other. Work the next dc into the stitch indicated below.
Follow your pattern to the end.
Finish with a slip stitch in the fourth of 4 chain.
Fasten off and join the next colour in second dtr of corner 3dtr.
Work 3 chains which counts as 1tr.
Then work 1tr, 2 chains, 1tr in the same dtr.
Then it's simply a question of working trebles all the way round, stopping at the corner 3dtr group from the previous round, as indicated in the pattern.
Then work 2tr, 2 chains, 2tr in the next dtr and continue to follow the pattern in this way all the way round.
Finish with a slip stitch in the third of 3 chains and fasten off.
