Princess Charlotte is proving to be quite the little style icon.
A yellow knitted button-up decorated with baby blue sheep sold out in John Lewis moments after a picture of the tot wearing it was published online.
The photo was released on 1 May 2017 by Kensington Palace on Instagram to mark the youngster's second birthday. It was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge at the family's Norfolk home back in April.
'Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank everyone for all of the lovely messages they have received, and hope that everyone enjoys this photograph of Princess Charlotte as much as they do,' the caption read.
As well as showing off her fabulous knit in the sweet snap, Princess Charlotte also melts hearts with her glossy bobbed hairdo. To stop her brown shoulder-length locks from falling into her face, one side has been pinned back with a navy bow clip.
If you didn't manage to get your hands on the garment before it went out of stock, you'll be thrilled to hear that we've found a similar version on Ravelry by Jennifer Little of Looking Glass Knits.
Just like the original Princess Charlotte cardigan, the unisex knit features a lovely spring-like motif showing sheep grazing in a field. A truly timeless top we'd suggest knitting with Sirdar Country Style DK Knitting Yarn, it's a traditional piece any little girl or boy would look simply gorgeous wearing.
We also have a wonderful pattern for a Fair Isle cardigan for a little princess in our online store.
The Princess Charlotte cardigan effect first struck a year ago when she was snapped in a delicate pink Olivier Baby & Kids design when she turned one. Sales at the company soared.
'We were thrilled when Princess Charlotte was photographed wearing our Rose Stitch Cardigan in her official first birthday pictures,' said co-founder of the brand Emma Davison.
'As a young British brand we were honoured that the Duchess of Cambridge chose to dress her daughter in our clothes, she has such fabulous style it is a huge compliment.'
