Rory The Reindeer

It’s November and Christmas feels like it’s just around the corner! Whether you’re feeling super organised or a bit flustered by the idea, we’re here to help! We’ll have lots of exciting Christmas projects on the lead up to the big day, to help you enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!

We’re starting off with our wonderful Rory the Reindeer kit. The kit comes complete with all the yarn you need, plus the pattern, making it nice and easy for you to make this adorable festive friend. The only things needed are a pair of 3mm (No. 11) knitting needles, washable toy stuffing and a small amount of black DK yarn for embroidery.

The original pattern is a tried and tested Woman’s Weekly pattern. It’s knitted entirely in stocking stitch, with the details embroidered on afterwards, so he's not only lovable, but is quick and easy to make for this busy time of year. He’ll add some great festive cheer to your home and would make the loveliest gift!

The finished reindeer measures about 41cm/16in tall. He’s knitted in Hayfield Bonus DK, which is super soft, so perfect for cuddling up to! The yarn can also be washed in the washing machine so he’ll stay looking lovely Christmas after Christmas.

There's also enough yarn included in the kit to knit another reindeer, so why not make a friend for Rory! Simply use the opposite shades used for the body, so use the Oatmeal shade for the main body and the Walnut shade for the hooves.
