Prince George's 6th Birthday

On 22^nd July Prince George, third in line to the throne, will celebrate his 6^th birthday. The birthday celebrations will be held at Kensington Palace and all his closest school friends are invited, as well as his younger sister Princess Charlotte and little brother Prince Louis.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have organised the day to include all of George’s favourite things: a bouncy castle, a magician and lots of pizza, pasta, cake and ice-cream! Sounds brilliant!

We are sure the little prince will look the part too, with his mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, always dressing him smartly and stylishly; often in smart-casual collared polo shirts and simple, classic knitted jumpers, paired with matching shorts, no matter the weather.

We’ve found some great patterns so you can dress your little ones in princely style.

This lovely pattern for matching father and son sweaters, features a smart cowl neck and simple round neck, both with a smart and classic cable design.

We love a bit of tradition in Britain and we love this traditional Guernsey-style jumper pattern. It also includes a hooded design, for a modern twist. Knitted in chunky yarn for keeping cosy.

Prince Louis was photographed in a very similar button-up sweater in photographs taken to celebrate his first birthday. This pattern can be knitted from age 0-6 months through to 6-7 years, so you could make matching sweaters for all your little prince and princesses!
