Make Your Own Mother’s Day Flowers
By Amy Last 5 years ago

You can’t beat flowers on Mother’s Day. It’s the perfect way to show the special ladies in your life how loved they are. Even better is a handmade yarn bouquet – aptly named ‘Everlasting Love’, this crochet bouquet will always look perky!

Rose Bouquet

Heather at The Patchwork Heart has been using our Rose Bouquet pattern to make a special arrangement for this Mother’s Day and it is beautiful! Taking inspiration from fellow blogger Eight-by-Six, Heather has used her collection of vintage knitting needles to make stems for this floral decoration. The perfect way to upcycle those treasured pins! Heather has collected hers from charity shops and recommends asking in the shop if you can’t see them as they often have them tucked away.

The Rose Bouquet crochet pattern contains the pattern for a more open flower, and information on how to make a tighter version which isn't quite as open. Make them in an array of colours for a really special gift. Heather has used Sirdar Snuggly 100% Cotton DK for hers and they are working up wonderfully.

From pastels to brights, they work in all colours. We love this brighter bunch, also crocheted using Sirdar Snuggly 100% Cotton DK.

Don’t worry, if crochet isn’t your thing, we also have an equally lovely knitting pattern for a pot of flowers, which could be knitted and arranged in the same way.

We hope you enjoy these patterns and would love to see your displays if you have a go at making them yourself.
