After The Storm Comfort Blanket
PrintThey say after the storm, there is calm, as the sun emerges from the clouds. As we slowly drift into the summer months, it’s the perfect time to create this pretty blanket featuring bobble clouds with colourful raindrops!
The After the Storm Comfort Blanket has been designed by Crochet Sanctuary, exclusively for The Knitting Network and featured in Woman’s Weekly magazine as a two-part Crochet A-Long.
"We wanted
something to represent pastel rainbow colours, there is a white panel running
down the centre which has white fluffy clouds and raindrops from French knots
(too cute!) and either side of those clouds are different coloured panels, each
panel has a different textured stitch and it’s then top and tailed with
beautiful fluffy pom poms. We really enjoyed creating this and feel that
it will suit crocheters of abilities."
You will also require 4mm crochet hook, stitch markers, large pompom maker (for optional pom poms).
The blanket will measure approximately 142.5 x 110cm/56 x 43in when complete. This is an intermediate pattern and would make a gorgeous addition to your home comforts.
This pastel blanket is a really enjoyable crochet project. Each colour pack includes all the Emu Classic DK yarn required to make it, plus a copy of the After The Storm Comfort Blanket pattern.
